Vintage Nike

A friend of mine dropped by the other day to show me some OG Nike stuff he picked up. Of course I took some photo’s to share this with y’all.

First we have two pairs of the Nike Air Walker Max. I had never saw this stunning model before. The shape has a real nice streamline to it, along with a beautiful midsole with air unit and striping details. Some interesting features are the heel inserts on the blue pair and the crazy toe print on the outsole. I had little time to shoot these photo’s, so I haven’t checked out the size tag for the production year yet, I have a feeling its somewhere from the late 80′s.

Next up is a Nike Air Challenge IV from 1991. Typical 90′s model & colors. A shoe full of details, like the embossed Nike instead of the Swoosh. The plastic bar on the toebox, crazy graphics on the heel and eyelets. I stumbled upon an old ad of the exact shoe, probably on Andre’s feet.

The Nike Air Structure II from around 93 is a real runner. The typical teal/purple colorway is a classic that works extremely well on so many shoes, runners & non-runners alike. A nice feature of this shoe is the one-piece sockliner & tongue which is the exact same as used on the Air Max 93. Its a shame the right shoe has suffered from bleeding a bit.

Last pair photographed is the Nike Air Trainer Max, a model with an air unit at the back, released in 1993. Although its says “Air Max” on the tongue it definitely looks more like a cross trainer like the insole claims too. It has some nice embossed details on the back and side, and the heavily perforated blue suede on the top feels great. It’s too bad the air unit faded a little, a nice model either way, you don’t bump into very often these days.
