Sample: Air Max BW Neon
Here’s a closer look at a sample of the Neon Air Max BW hybrid. The pair is a mash-up of three familiar models: the classic BW, the Air Max 95 Neon and the Air Max 90 Current. The mash-up goes beyond the color way; the tongue, the bubble, the rear and basically all materials are based on the iconic Air Max 95 Neon. The front part of the sole was taken from the more recent Air Max 90 current. What I found interesting was the out-sole, chopped into two pieces with the rear part being identical to the 95, and the Air Max BW part up front, while front part of the midsole is from the Current 90. No word on the release of those yet. Until that time, enjoy the pictures below.

[...] Some of Nike’s mash-ups may not have panned out very well but here’s a better look at the upcoming Nike Air Max Modular 95 SI which combines the classic Air Classic BW and the Air Max 95. Both the BW and 95 were milestones in the Air Max history, with the Air Classic BW introducing the “Big Window” of Air Max while the 95 featured visible forefoot Air. For this hybrid, it’s the BW infrastructure that remains with the 95 accent taking place in the tongue, rear heel, and the Air on the heel. This is one hybrid you can say is perfectly done without room for improvement, and the do-no-wrong colorway of the black, grey, and neon green should be an absolute hit. Take another look at this upcoming Air Max hybrid after the jump and let us know what you think of this colorway. via pyrophilly. [...]

[...] The shoes are a mash-up of the BW and 95 and while the BW’s build definitely takes precedence that ‘Greydient’ look is undeniable. As for materials with a leather, suede and mesh construction these may not be as lightweight as you hope but chances are you aren’t buying them to run in. The shoes are actually a very clean combination and they make a lot of sense together. Via pyrophilly. [...]
