Blessed Reggae Festival
Posted under: On Saturday July 2nd I attended the Blessed Reggae Festival in Amsterdam. It was a last minute decision triggered by a tweet from one of the performing artists Tarrus Riley, thank God I started following him that same morning.
The night consisted of 3 main acts that performed; Kenny B (& Benaissa), Duane Stephenson and Tarrus Riley. The last mentioned performed together with legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser. I dedicated a post about these two gentleman before and boy was it great to see them together live.
All together the night was awesome for a multitude of reasons. It was about time to see Kenny B & Benaissa perform their banger ‘Yu Faya‘ live. Duane Stephensons is a name Im familiair with since I have ‘Rescue Me’ on repeat from his ‘Black Gold‘ Album. The interaction between Dean Fraser and Tarrus Riley was amazing to experience, checkout the last video to see what Im talking about.
