Amsterdam Reggae Festival
Posted under: On sunday July 31st the 4th edition of the Amsterdam Reggae Festival took place. The lineup featured Gentleman, Lutan Fyah, Protoje, Romain Virgo, Junior Kelly, Pressure & many more. There were two stages on which live artists performed, the Main stage and a smaller Jamrock area.
The sound for the main stage was way too soft which has more influence on the experience than you would think. Gentleman himself complained about this during his performance too, the sound-man however didn’t want to put it up. Therefor I spent most of my time at the smaller Jamrock stage, to my surprise Lutan Fyah was booked to perform here instead of at the main stage. For me the best performance of the night was by Pressure. Because of the nights end by Sentinel I could leave the event happy, they teared the roof off the last hour.
All in all it was a nice event that suffered heavily due to organizational flaws. Next time please put some signs up with the program next time, or think of another way to make sure everyone gets the time-schedule. Also, €2,50 for visiting the nastiest toilets known to mankind? C’mon son…
