No Lay: I am Legend
Posted under: Ever since hearing the ‘Ladies Night‘ session on Tim Westwood I’ve been following No Lay. The femmecee is not strictly dropping tracks Im into but on the mixtape ‘I am Legend’ are a solid amount of tunes to my liking. Personally I think No Lay comes hardest when on live recordings, which will reflect her energy best.
The tape shows this side repeatedly by featuring multiple freestyle/live sessions, ‘Big Time’ is my favorite example of this. Besides that there are some really nice tracks like ‘Ride or Die’ and ‘The Game’ which features a familiar Nas beat. Also a variety of snippets like ‘Our Life’ are featured which will hopefully appear full length on upcoming releases.
